Following the success of the 2025 edition at COP30 in Brazil, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with its global partners, is proud to announce the 2026 AI for Climate Innovation Factory.

The 2026 edition scales our ambition further, seeking to identify and accelerate the next generation of AI-driven breakthroughs that move beyond theory into measurable climate action. This initiative focuses on scalable, impactful, and inclusive projects that align with the targets of the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The winner will be announced at COP31 in 2026, serving as a global stage for startups to demonstrate how technology can safeguard our planet’s future.
